CORAL SPRINGS REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND COCONUT CREEK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE JOIN EFFORTS TO IMPACT ECONOMIC GROWTH IN NORTHWEST BROWARD.

Coral Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce announces the integration of the Coconut Chamber of Commerce to help strengthen the voice of the business community and improve economic, civic and community growth across Northwest Broward.

CORAL SPRINGS, FL – AUGUST 24, 2017 – The Coral Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce announces today the integration of the Coconut Chamber of Commerce to help strengthen the voice of the business community by connecting resources and influencing economic, civic and community growth across Northwest Broward. The Coconut Creek Chamber of Commerce will be known as the Coconut Creek Chamber Council, operating under the auspices of the Coral Springs Regional Chamber, a 500+ member organization representing an array of retail, commercial, health, nonprofit, educational, and other private/public sectors across Broward County.

“We are excited about further expanding our reach and creating more opportunities for our members to proactively connect and grow, while gaining greater influence as the ‘voice’ of the Northwest Broward area,” said Cindy Brief, CEO of Coral Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce. “By integrating the Coconut Creek Chamber, we further our mission of serving as the catalyst for economic growth for all members in the Northwest Broward region.”

Centrally located in the heart of Northwest Broward, Coconut Creek is one of the most dynamic business regions surrounded by six cities, including Coral Springs, Parkland, Margate, Pompano, Deerfield Beach, and Boca Raton. Conversations began in October 2016, as each organization explored how to best serve its membership.

“We chose the Coral Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce because they go above and beyond the typical chamber. We love the way they operate. They are extremely professional and friendly, and we knew they would have the best interest of Coconut Creek at heart,” said Connie Carberg, President of the Coconut Creek Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to a prosperous future for our members and a symbiotic relationship between the two cities.”

The integration agreement between the two Chambers involves: Coral Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce managing the administrative, financial and membership needs of the Coconut Creek members. The Coconut Creek Chamber Council will have its own Board of Governors and representation on the Coral Springs Regional Chamber’s Board of Directors. Their programs, events and committees will continue as usual.

“From an industry perspective, regionalization is becoming the norm. Chambers of Commerce and other non-profit organizations are constantly competing for funding while working to raise money to keep the organization viable and growing,” said Mark Watson, Chairman of the Board for the Coral Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Both board of directors view the alliance as the perfect opportunity to build a strong sustainable organization for all members and to create a bright future for Northwest Broward.”

The Coral Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce is a highly-respected and vibrant organization. “This is a mutually beneficial arrangement for members of both organizations, increasing exposure to new markets, expanding networking opportunities, and building a strong partnership across our cities,” concluded Brief.
