Date: October 31, 2018
Event Description:
The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship, part of Florida State University’s College of Business, has extended the application deadline for its Small Business Executive Program and Nonprofit Executive Program spring 2019 classes in Broward and Palm Beach counties to Oct. 31, 2018. The programs run from January through May and consist of nine sessions that focus on a particular aspect of growing a business or nonprofit. They are held every other week from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Offered twice a year, the Small Business Executive Program and the Nonprofit Executive Program are free to its participants. These executive programs are ideal for CEOs, entrepreneurs, business owners, presidents and executive directors of small businesses and nonprofit organizations. Graduates emerge with the skills and training they need to capitalize on business opportunities, implement best practice management and turn challenges into strategic advantage. Past participants have represented a variety of industries, including construction, technology, healthcare, fashion and law. “Business leaders who want to take their businesses to the next level should consider applying for these amazing, no-cost programs,” said Jennifer Kovach, director of the Jim Moran Institute’s South Florida Operations. “We enjoy watching our program participants achieve personal and professional growth as they learn from others who have been in their shoes.” Those interested in applying for the executive programs should visit JimMoranInstitute.org and click on “Programs.” To qualify for the programs, applicants must be actively involved in running a business and be a key decision-maker and their company must have been established for at least three years with five or more employees (or volunteers if the company is a nonprofit). Graduates of each program receive a certificate, are afforded the opportunity to be a part of a peer roundtable and are regularly invited to workshops, conferences and other Jim Moran Institute events.
